Jim recently joined Rubloff choosing to come here because of their unique position in the Chicago market and their generous history of philanthropy in Chicago. His move to become a licensed real estate agent stemmed from his personal experience in real estate investment and his belief in the opportunities available there.. Since 1993 Jim has been a professional opera singer. Traveling around the United States with his wife and son, Jim followed singing opportunities until he came to Chicago in 1995 to join the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists. During his tenure there, he was seen in numerous productions and after leaving in 1998 sang on stages throughout the U.S. and Europe. Often negotiating contracts with companies across the country or the Atlantic, Jim gained valuable experience with these potentially confrontational situations that often were complicated by language or cultural differences, experience that has been put to good use in the real estate industry. Jim grew up in Washington State and received a degree in music and psychology from Seattle Pacific University. In 1988 he came to the Midwest to study voice at the renowned music school of Indiana University. Jim now lives in Old Irving Park with his two children, hoosier wife, and enthusiastic dog, Coco. He loves sailing, scuba and getting involved with his children's sports and music.
